The second edition of The Global Franchise Market (TGFM), the official franchise show in Dubai, will kick off this Sunday featuring 60 brands from over 55 countries.
Held under the patronage of Dubai Economy and organized by INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions, member of INDEX Holding, the event will take place from October 29-30 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center.
Dubai’s franchise-driven revenues are estimated at $30 billion a year while the sector itself in Dubai is set to grow 27% annually according to Dubai Chamber.
Commenting on the importance of the franchise market and Dubai as a hub for franchising, Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice- Chairman & Group CEO of INDEX Holding stated: “The franchising concept has developed tremendously in the previous years and continue to grow as it proved to be a successful business model for brands to generate new revenue streams. Franchising is also considered an important contributor to the country’s economies as it expands businesses and helps create jobs. With the continuous infrastructure and real estate development in the UAE, we believe that franchise investments in the country will fill in the needs of the commercial real estate developments. The US has been the most successful, and we believe that the UAE as a regional hub in the entire region has what it takes to be a global leader in the franchise industry.”

The exhibition this year will witness 4 country pavilions and it will host leading brands from Australia, China, Malaysia, KSA, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Italy, Sweden, Brazil, USA and Peru.
